I Kissed A Lady Boy

The title of this story will probably raise some eyebrows and hopefully draw some attention at the same time. This is just something funny that happened to me while I was on one of my trips. It all started while I was backpacking with my friend through (you guessed it) Thailand.We were on a backpacking trip through Thailand, Bangkok, Ayuthaya, Koh Samui, Phuket, Chiang Mai and Phi Phi.

Travelling with just a backpack is a great way to travel. I only got the chance to do it once, but it has been an everlasting experience. It's a more free way of experiencing a country, economical and adventurous. You never no where you end up sleeping, or what who for that matter.

When I went to Thailand, we didn't go there so much for just the 'girls'. It's a sorry fact, but that is what Thailand is associated with when you mention you go travelling off to Thailand. 'Girls'.

Thailand has some great things to offer, great culture, food, beautiful beaches, and women, that happens to be a tiny part of it. It's the commercialized industry of s.e.x. that gave it such a reputation. Of course the economical factor comes into play, because people generally don't have a lot to spend and drives many a girl into 'the industry'.

Our Travel

We started in Bangkok. To ease into the life of being a 'real' backpacker we checked in to a 5-star hotel. To get adjusted. We stayed there for a couple of nights and did some discovering. In Thailand catching a cab is easy. Those little 3 wheeled taxis are another great way of discovering the city.

We saw that big Buddha laying on his side, the floating market and many other places. Lots of jewelries too, which we didn't ask for but many drivers hope you buy something so that can get some commission. Be attentive to that when you go to Thailand, give clear directions and don't let a driver bring you some place that you didn't ask for!

On one of the trips with a random driver, he took us somewhere we didn't ask for. We ended up in a big joint, in some sort of parking basement. He let us out and said: 'now you enjoy, happy happy'.

The place where he brought us was set up like a lounge bar. Big sofas, two bars and an endless amount of girls dancing on tables. Are mouths just fell wide open! I mean, two simple boys, a mayonaise producer (my friend) and a garbage man.. (that WAS me at the time). And about 50 girls dancing everywhere.

We managed to leave, after some beers and didn't get tricked into anything that first night. But the mood was set!

Ayuthaya

After Bangkok we traveled to Ayuthaya where we would be staying in a sort of home stay. We took the train, which is about an hour plus from Bangkok. There we were picked up by a very old lady and a somewhat younger girl. I think she was 20ish.

All fine, checked in and had some dinner. The two females were however, quite persistent and didn't leave our side for a moment. Weird, but fun at the same time. The younger one was not hard to look at, and for one reason or another, my friend was into that old one. To me, she was mean looking, kinda had weird teeth and dusty hair. I always referred to her as 'sharkie'.

Anyway, the girls took us out to a big club in Ayuthaya. There are not many, but the place she took us was a 'local' joint. We had the best time of our life. My friend and me have been to many clubs, but I don't remember a club where we had so much fun.

The ride home, I was sitting with that younger girl. And she suddenly kissed me. Not long, just a small one but it was identified as a real kiss, especially by my friend.

Once at the hotel, nothing out of the ordinary happened. My friend and me got into our room and that was about it. But, when I looked at him, he had such a big smirk on his face. I asked him what was so funny.

'You didn't know right' he said. 'Know what,' I asked. 'Well, let me ask you this: Didn't you find it strange to see a girl with such a big appetite?'

I never put much thought into it at the time we were eating out, just before we hit the club. I mean, should I be worried when a girl eats 3 big mac's?

'Nah, why?' I replied. 'Then let me ask you this: Didn't you think it was strange, that he kept reaching to his crotch all the time?'

'Nah, why?' I said.'Jeez, Theo, did you also not think it was strange that your lady friend kept hitting you with her fist on your shoulder?'

'Nah, why?' To me, it was one of the signals, I thought she was into me.

It must have been the alcohol at that time, or just the fact that both my eyes have a minus of 4. I couldn't figure it out until he said, 'dude, that lady friend of yours was a girl, a katoy'.

My mind went blank for a moment, and I started puzzling: Huge appetite, Tyson' like punches on the shoulder, hand covering neck.. Right.. Got it.

So, there you have it.. I kissed a ladyboy..
